Week 13 D/ST Streamers

Denver Broncos - @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Broncos are right on the cusp of the ownership criteria, but against a Bengals team that is now without its franchise quarterback and star wide receiver the Broncos are in play to be one of the better D/ST options this week. The Broncos are ranked in the top five in both sacks and interceptions, which sets them up well to continue adding to those numbers against a quarterback in Jeff Driskel making his first NFL start. Even on the road, the Broncos should provide a great mix of floor and ceiling this week. It is also worth mentioning that the Broncos have one of the best remaining schedules for the fantasy playoffs, so they are worth scooping up for the rest of the season as well.

Seattle Seahawks – VS San Francisco 49ers

As it turns out, Nick Mullens is not the GOAT and looks like a quarterback who has started only three NFL regular season games despite his stellar debut against the Raiders in Week 9. Since his matchup with the Raiders, Mullens has thrown four interceptions and just two touchdowns over the past two weeks while throwing for no more than 250 yards. Enter the Seahawks, a team playing at home with a top five interception total and fighting for a playoff spot. The Seahawks are a solid play against a division rival at home in Week 13.

Kansas City Chiefs - @ Oakland Raiders

While the Chiefs don’t have a strong defensive unit, scoring 36 points per game on offense certainly helps make things easier. The Chiefs D/ST has been solid in the games this season where they have won by double-digits, so against a 30th ranked Raiders offense the Chiefs should find similar success in cruising to another blowout win. Another solid D/ST streaming option for Week 13.

Tennessee Titans – VS New York Jets

A matchup with the Jets sets up well for a Titans team that looks to muck games up and slow things down. Regardless of who starts at quarterback for the Jets, they are playing with a banged up receiving corps leaving them to rely on the running game – the Titans strength on defense. This makes the Titans a safe play this week, but I think you can look elsewhere for D/STs with more upside. Also, the Titans are another D/ST with a favorable fantasy playoff schedule worth keeping around.

“So, You’re Saying There’s A Chance” (D/STs Owned In 20-10% of 10-Team Yahoo Leagues)

Cleveland Browns - @ Houston Texans

Picking on a Texans team riding an eight-game winning streak is probably not the best idea, especially in a week where a number of available teams have better matchups, but the Browns are not the absolute worst choice this week if you are in a pinch. The Texans have given up 3-plus sacks in three straight weeks, and if this game turns into a shootout, Deshaun Watson has shown a propensity to make mistakes when forced into a higher volume of pass attempts. The Browns are more of a desperation play this week, so avoid if possible.

“You Might Want To Look Away” (D/STs Owned in <10% 10-Team Yahoo Leagues)

New York Jets - @ Tennessee Titans

I really hope you don’t have to dig this deep, but the best case I can make for the Jets is that the Titans have given up 4-plus sacks in 3-of-4 games. In a matchup where both teams will look to slow the game down, the Jets have a lower risk of being blown out than in other weeks. Not much ceiling here, but the Jets could find a floor worth a few points.
